In June a few Y5 students attended Marleigh’s Formal Opening Ceremony, along with other schools within the Trust.

Throughout the day the children were able to take part in a variety of activities including:
~Workshop from AstroZenka – making the Calpol & water.
~Workshop from ARM – seeing three World Record Breaking Rubik’s Cube solving machines.
~Special guest Michael Rosen who officially opened Marleigh. He performed some of his poetry, the children and adults loved it, especially the famous “Chocolate Cake” poem. We were all a bit starstruck!
~Carnival with all of the schools together with a Samba Band leading the procession.
All the children that took part had a remarkable day and took away some special memories.
